One of my student's favorite activities in the classroom is playing board games and card games. There are many benefits for students playing games that are aimed at learning, however, you will need a few supplies. Here are my favorite dice, tokens, and dry erase cards.
Colorful Dice –You will need dice. This is the set I have in my classroom. The large sets help if I want my entire class to play a game simultaneously. There are enough that I can break the class into pairs for most games. If you do not want a large set, here is a small set of dice for a few dollars.
Game Tokens – If your students are going to play board games, you will often need game tokens. The class set helps you to have lots of options with your students. All your kids will want in on the fun of board games.
Dry Erase Cards – These dry erase cards are the perfect resource to easily differentiate your games' content. I typically use these when I am working with a small group of students. We can play a game, and they allow me to differentiate for each student as we play.
Bingo Chips – We use bingo chips with a variety of games. They are not just for bingo. I prefer a single color of chips because the students get distracted by their chips when they are multi-colored. However, there are lots of sets of multi-colored chips too!
